A man has died following a crash near a rural village involving a lorry in mid Wales. Police are investigating the collision which happened on the A489 near Caersws, in Powys, on Sunday morning.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the collision involved a beige Honda Civic and a white Renault HGV.
The man driving the Honda Civic car was airlifted to hospital but later died, the force said in a statement.
His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
No other injuries were reported in the crash, police said.
Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for anyone with information, about the crash, or who may have relevant dash cam or CCTV footage to come forward. The crash happened on the A489 at around 10am.
