Application to convert storage into flats withdrawn

Plans to convert the upper floors of the Lloyds Pharmacy building at 99 Holton Road, Barry, into flats have been withdrawn.

The proposal would have kept the ground floor for commercial use while converting storage space on the first and second floors into four apartments.

The scheme included extending a concrete staircase to the second floor.

Although there were no objections in principle, Barry Town Council had raised concerns about accessibility and resident parking.

Discharge of conditions at former sidings approved

An application to discharge two planning conditions for a residential development at the former sidings, Ffordd y Mileniwm, Barry has been approved.

The submission related to site levels and internal road details as part of planning reference 2020/00775/OUT.

The council has confirmed that the information provided is sufficient to satisfy the conditions.

The full residential development proposal also includes associated infrastructure and open space.
