Many customers have connected their praise to the restaurant’s long history, noting its more than four-decade presence in Penarth.

They pointed out that while newer restaurants have opened and closed around it, Paramount has remained a fixture, thanks to its consistently good food and familiar staff.

It is open seven days a week from 5.30pm, with later closing times on Fridays and Saturdays.

The restaurant sits among a cluster of well-reviewed restaurants on Penarth’s seafront-adjacent dining strip, including Mint and Mustard and Ego at The Schooner Inn.
