The A4232 in Cardiff was closed for more than four hours on Thursday evening after a crash involving two vehicles
A person who had not been in a vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a collision between two cars which caused lengthy traffic jams in Cardiff.

- A busy Cardiff road was shut for more than four hours on Thursday night following a collision involving two cars.
- Officers were called to the A4232 northbound between Leckwith and Culverhouse Cross at 6.20pm on Thursday, June 26.
- South Wales Police confirmed that one person, who was not in a vehicle at the time, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. Another person was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
- The collision caused long delays and the A4232 was closed on both sides for some time leaving motorists in standstill traffic on what was the hottest day of the year.
- Drivers could be seen trying to cool off by standing outside their vehicles with their tops off.
- The southbound side reopened at around 8.45pm and the northbound side re-opened overnight. The closures also affected a number of roads in Cardiff which were busier than normal.
