South Wales Police officers attended The Parade following reports of a one-vehicle crash at around 10.40am.
The road was closed between Harbour Road and Southesk Place.
A spokesperson for the force asked drivers to “please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible” as officers were “at the scene of an incident on The Parade”.
“South Wales Police was called at 10:40am this morning to a collision involving one car on the Parade in Barry,” said a South Wales Police spokesperson.
“Minor injuries have been reported”
The road re-opened shortly after midday.
