Power Collective Penarth celebrate five years of fundraising

by David Jones

The Power Collective Penarth, a non-profit group, held the celebration on Saturday to mark five years of raising more than £18,000 for charities through activities like weekly bootcamps.

Power Collective Penarth offers women a chance to exercise together in a supportive, inclusive environment, regardless of different levels of fitness.

Members can participate in the free weekly bootcamps and donate to charity whenever they can.

These bootcamps are tailored to promote community spirit and inclusivity rather than speed or ability, offering support and companionship to all interested individuals.

Over the last half-decade, the group has supported various charities, such as Maggie’s Cancer Centre Cardiff, Llamau, and Unicef.

Members have participated in challenges including HYROX, the Cardiff 10k, a half marathon, and various park runs.

The anniversary celebration featured a performance from local soul band Dansette and raised over £1,800, all of which has been donated to Welsh Women’s Aid.
