Rhun ap Iorwerth unveils Plaid Cymru’s first cabinet

There are 42 people (excluding Rhun ap Iorwerth) that he has to choose from when making these important choices. A good start would be to look at who were their spokespeople in the last term – people like Mabon ap Gwynfor spoke on health, and Llyr Gruffydd on rural affairs.

But there are new (or returning) faces too. Nerys Evans may have had a break from the Senedd, but she had a spell here when it was the Assembly and has experience running business outside of politics, and a first time member Anna Brychan, spent a decade as director of National Association of Head Teachers Cymru and is an assistant Dean at University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

Dafydd Trystan is a former party chair, and has been spotted going into Cathays Park today on his bike – active travel is a previous role he has held.
