Craig Stokes, 42, of Main Street, Barry was locked up after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on Port Road in Wenvoe.
The offence occurred on December 18 last year, Cardiff Magistrates’ Court was told.
He also admitted driving without insurance.
Stokes was sent to prison for 10 weeks, banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay costs of £400.
