Santander is offering up to £150 cashback

Santander has issued a timely warning to parents with a “lot to tick off” ahead of the new school year, alerting them to a potential windfall of up to £150 paid directly into their accounts.

The high street bank has been reaching out to customers this week, drawing attention to the numerous preparations parents face before September arrives. The emails read: “Uniform, school shoes, lunchboxes. There’s a lot to tick off the ‘back to school’ to-do list.

“But there’s something important some parents forget. If something happened to you, would your family be financially protected? Life insurance can help protect your children and give you peace of mind for the future.”

Santander is promoting what it describes as “quick and simple cover” in partnership with Aviva, the UK’s largest insurer, noting that 98.7% of Aviva life insurance claims were successfully paid out in 2025.

Customers taking out a life insurance policy through Santander will pocket £100 cashback. However, those holding a Santander mortgage, Select account, or a current account within the Santander Edge range – stand to receive an enhanced £150 cashback offer.

The bank has cautioned that the offer may be withdrawn at any time, with the cashback deposited into customers’ accounts 280 days after the policy commences, provided it remains active.

It should be noted that cashback is strictly limited to a single payment per customer, applicable to one policy only.
