An investigation into the collision is underway
A teenager has died and two others were rushed to hospital following a serious collision in Cardiff.
Emergency services were called to a crash involving two vehicles on the A48 near The Tumble in St Nicholas shortly after 8pm on Saturday.
An 18-year-old man from Ely died at the scene, a spokesman for South Wales Police said on Sunday.
His family has been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Two others, a 59-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man from Bonvilston, Vale of Glamorgan, have been taken to hospital.

Images and footage from the scene show the crash involved an MG and Land Rover with both vehicles badly damaged.
Emergency services crews are visible at the scene while other motorists and bypassers can be seen attempting to assist people.
A witness who was one of the first people at the scene said it was clear it was a “very bad crash”.
“People were doing the best they could to help those in both cars before emergency services arrived,” he said.
“Paramedics, police, and fire engines then arrived really quickly.”
He added: “It’s really upsetting to hear about the young boy.”
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called to The Tumble, St. Nicholas, Cardiff at around 8.05pm on Saturday, June 6, following a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
“An 18-year-old man from Ely, Cardiff, has died at the scene.
“His family has been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“Two others – a 59-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man from Bonvilston, Vale of Glamorgan – have been taken to hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the collision.
“An investigation into the collision is currently under way.”
