The investigation focused on the circumstances that led to the teenagers travelling abroad.

Carrie-Anne Dreyer, 39, from Llantwit Major, has been charged with conspiring to fraudulently evade a prohibition on the importation of a class B drug.

She also faces four counts of conspiring to arrange or facilitate the travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

Dreyer has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 3.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “A seventh person has been charged in connection with an investigation linked to two Cardiff children arrested in Thailand.
