The Vale Food Trail will run from May 24 to June 7, bringing together producers, growers, cafés, restaurants, and independent businesses for a two-week celebration of seasonal, sustainable food and drink across the Vale.
Louise Denham, Food Vale co-ordinator, said: “The Vale Food Trail is designed to encourage people to explore where their food comes from and how choosing local can make a positive difference, by highlighting local producers and the venues that support them.
“We hope to see residents from the Vale and beyond enjoying the fantastic produce these venues have to offer.”
The programme includes farm open days, tasting sessions, workshops, tours, and special menus.
The event aims to promote a “healthier, fairer, and more environmentally friendly food system” by encouraging visitors to explore, taste, and support local food businesses.
The Vale Food Trail is organised by Food Vale, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Visit the Vale, and Cywain.
It champions the role that local food businesses play in building a healthier, fairer and more environmentally friendly food system.
