Plaid Cymru leader and first minister Rhun ap Iorwerth will speak at a march for independence later this month, it has been announced. Thousands of people are expected to descend on Aberystwyth on Saturday, September 26, for a YesCymru Welsh independence rally.
It is the first YesCymru march to be held in mid Wales and follows the 10 marches held since 2019, including in Cardiff, Wrexham, Swansea and Carmarthen, which have seen tens of thousands of people from every corner of Wales attend. Campaign organisers confirmed Mr ap Iorwerth will be among the speakers at the rally following the march.
It comes after what YesCymru described as an “historic week” in the independence movement. Full details here.
