Wild Rituals on Tynewydd Road, Barry announced the news via their social media channels at the end of February, saying that “much thought, reflection, tears and long conversations” they came to the difficult decision to cease trading.
This alternative wellbeing shop has become a space for locals to come and peruse crystals and other methods that will help them along on their spiritual journeys, with each crystal “lovingly cleansed, charged, and infused with Reiki energy” and ready to support the purchaser.

In the announcement on social media, Wild Rituals said: “Wild Rituals has been more than a shop. It’s been a sanctuary. A place of healing. A place where people came not just for crystals, but for comfort, connection, safety and belonging.
“Watching you walk through the door, sharing your stories, trusting me with your healing journeys… that has been the greatest honour.
“What we built here was never just about products on shelves. It was about energy. Community. Magic. Growth.”
They urge those who have thought of visiting or have been eyeing up a particular product to come into the store and take advantage of their closing down sale, which has now begun. This includes 40 per cent off all Wild Rituals stock, excluding items from crafters.

They say that “if you’ve had your eye on something, if there’s a piece that’s been calling you, now is the time to come and give it a home.”
In the announcement, owner Kara goes on to thank husband and business partner Gareth. They say: To Gareth – my rock, my steady support, the one who believed in this vision even on the days I doubted myself – thank you. None of this would have existed without you.”
Customers have expressed their sadness on social media, with one user saying that they have “done a great job of keeping the centre of town looking, smelling and sounding beautiful” since their opening.
Wild Rituals will finish trading on March 22, and thank each customer for “every purchase, every hug, every story, every moment of trust.”
