Woman arrested after Neath M4 crash

A crash shut the M4 eastbound late on Monday evening

A woman has been arrested after emergency services shut the M4 eastbound on Monday evening following a crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash involving one car on the M4 eastbound at junction 43 at around 11.30pm on Monday. The motorway was closed between junction 44 at Llansamlet and junction 43 at Neath and Llandarcy.

A woman was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a specimen for analysis following the crash. The road reopened at around 4am.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called to a report of a single car collision on the M4 eastbound by junction 43 at 11.31pm yesterday.

“A woman in her 30s from Llandarcy was arrested on suspicion of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.”
