We are inviting you to take part in our latest Vale-wide survey, Let’s Talk about Life in the Vale. This is the second large-scale residents’ survey we have carried out, following the one held in autumn 2023 in which more than 4,000 people shared their experiences and views.
The findings from that survey directly informed the Council’s new Corporate Plan, Vale 2030.
Through this year’s survey, we want to build on that work and once again hear from as many people as possible about their experiences of living and working in the Vale of Glamorgan.
All responses will be processed and analysed independently by Data Cymru. The findings will then be presented to our Cabinet, Committees, Full Council and our partners to inform our work and priorities in the future.
Complete the survey and be in with a chance of winning a £50 Love2Shop voucher.

Thank you in advance for taking this opportunity to share your experiences and help us make the Vale the best it can be for those who live and work here.
![]() Empty Property StrategyThere are properties across the county that have been left vacant for a long time, while many individuals and families wait for a suitable place to live. As part of our commitment to improving housing availability and supporting local communities, the Vale of Glamorgan Council is reviewing its approach to tackling long-term empty properties. Complete our survey and help shape the Empty Property Strategy 2025 – 2030. |

![]() Sully open space improvementsFollowing our community engagement last October, we’re excited to propose upgrades to the play area and surrounding open space near Conybeare Road, funded by the new Gwel Yr Ynys housing development (Section 106 funding). Tell us what you’d like to see in the new park and help shape Sully’s green space for everyone to enjoy. |

Consultation closes 01 October 2025.
Annwyl breswylydd,
Diolch am danysgrifio i gael gwybod am ymgynghoriadau ym Mro Morgannwg. Dyma drosolwg cyflym o’r hyn yr ydym yn gofyn am eich mewnbwn arno ar hyn o bryd.

Rydym yn eich gwahodd i gymryd rhan yn ein harolwg diweddaraf ar draws y Fro, Gadewch i ni Siarad am Fywyd yn y Fro. Dyma’r ail arolwg preswylwyr ar raddfa fawr yr ydym wedi’i gynnal, yn dilyn yr un a gynhaliwyd yn hydref 2023 lle rhannodd mwy na 4,000 o bobl eu profiadau a’u barn.
Roedd canfyddiadau’r arolwg hwnnw yn llywio’n uniongyrchol i Gynllun Corfforaethol newydd y Cyngor, sef y Fro 2030.
Drwy’r arolwg eleni, rydym am adeiladu ar y gwaith hwnnw ac unwaith eto glywed gan gymaint o bobl â phosibl am eu profiadau o fyw a gweithio ym Mro Morgannwg.
Bydd yr holl ymatebion yn cael eu prosesu a’u dadansoddi yn annibynnol gan Data Cymru. Yna bydd y canfyddiadau’n cael eu cyflwyno i’n Cabinet, Pwyllgorau, y Cyngor Llawn a’n partneriaid i lywio ein gwaith a’n blaenoriaethau yn y dyfodol.
Cwblhewch yr arolwg a byddwch mewn gyda siawns o ennill taleb Love2Shop o £50.

Diolch ymlaen llaw am fanteisio ar y cyfle hwn i rannu eich profiadau a’n helpu ni i wneud y Fro y gorau y gall fod i’r rhai sy’n byw ac yn gweithio yma.
![]() Strategaeth Eiddo GwagMae eiddo ar draws y sir sydd wedi cael eu gadael yn wag ers amser maith, tra bod llawer o unigolion a theuluoedd yn aros am le addas i fyw. Fel rhan o’n hymrwymiad i wella argaeledd tai a chefnogi cymunedau lleol, mae Cyngor Bro Morgannwg yn adolygu ei ddull o fynd i’r afael ag eiddo gwag hirdymor. Cwblhewch ein harolwg a helpu i lunio’r Strategaeth Eiddo Gwag 2025 – 2030. |

![]() Gwelliannau mannau agored SiliYn dilyn ein hymgysylltiad cymunedol fis Hydref diwethaf, rydym yn gyffrous i gynnig uwchraddio’r ardal chwarae a’r man agored cyfagos ger Heol Conybeare, a ariennir gan ddatblygiad tai newydd Gwel Yr Ynys (cyllid Adran 106). Dywedwch wrthym beth hoffech chi ei weld yn y parc newydd a helpu i lunio man gwyrdd Sully i bawb ei fwynhau. |

Ymgynghoriad yn cau ar 01 Hydref 2025.
The study are not looking for additional sites,- therefore no need for set up, etc-as with the ‘FIND ME’ study, but have requested help to support recruitment by sharing comms materials in Wales (the study flyer and newsletter/social media ad, attached above).
The study is looking to test the clinical and cost-effectiveness of an online support package (CareCoach) for family carers of people living with dementia.
The main inclusion criteria are adults currently providing informal/unpaid care or support for a person living with dementia (whose diagnosis is within the last 5 years).
HCRW asked if we could share the attached comms materials with our ABUHB Leads/Specialist colleagues, to share anywhere you think may be relevant (e.g: your wards/clinics/online/anywhere else).
I’ve accessed the QR code to take a look at their information & noted their social media posts & have myself already shared with my own family & friends. Would be another great opportunity for families/carers of our PLWD to get involved with Research & indeed another ‘string to bow’- in your growing ‘research active’ status as a department.

The Health and Social Care Committee are undertaking an inquiry into improving access to support for unpaid carers and would like to hear from people with lived experience of being unpaid carers.
You can read more about the full inquiry here: Improving access to support for unpaid carers
The programme of engagement will consist of individual interviews with unpaid carers across Wales and these will be conducted during August and September 2025.
If your organisation would like to support the inquiry and help source participants for the interviews, or for further information, please contact the email below to discuss further.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
