Arriving in stores from Thursday, July 16, the Premium Freezy Ice Cream Maker will be priced at £69.99 amid the UK facing hot temperatures.

The supermarket also highlights the ice cream maker as a cheaper option than some well-known brands.

In particular, it cites the Ninja CREAMi Deluxe 10-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Drink Maker for comparison, which is listed for £249.99.

Lidl adds: “The cherry on top? A £130 saving compared to the viral branded alternative, proving frozen fun doesn’t need to melt the budget.”

With social media trends showing a surge in homemade gelato creations, Lidl expects high demand for its latest summer gadget.
