Routes 6, 17/18, 27, 44/45, and 49/50 will return to normal weekday frequencies from Sunday, August 30, as the summer schedule comes to an end.
The changes include extra journeys during peak demand periods and adjustments to improve reliability.
Gareth Stevens, commercial and operations director at Cardiff Bus, said: “As we come to the end of the summer period, a number of our services will return to their normal weekday frequencies, alongside timetable changes designed to improve reliability.
“We’re also adding capacity where there is demand, including an additional school-day journey from Sully to Stanwell School and an extra weekday afternoon journey to Barry Island.”
On route 94, an extra school-day service will run from Sully Church at 7.56am, providing extra capacity for students travelling to Stanwell School.
On route 95, a new weekday afternoon journey will operate to Barry Island.
Additional timetable updates will affect routes 52, 57/58, 92/93, and 604/606.
Routes 63 and 136 will now terminate at Penffordd, Pentyrch instead of Heol Danyrodyn.
The summer route 91 service will end on Monday, August 31.
The Skycar summer timetable will remain in place until September 3, before switching to a Friday and Saturday-only service until October 3.
Friday and Saturday evening diversions will be removed from routes 9 and 28/29, restoring their usual routes.
Route 9 will operate as normal, except for Wyndham Arcade, while routes 28/29 will return to serving their stops via Lower Churchill Way.
Due to the closure of Bute Street, route 611 will operate a revised route with altered stops along Bute Street and Lloyd George Avenue.
Cardiff Bus is encouraging passengers across the Vale of Glamorgan to check updated timetables before travelling to avoid disruption.
