Clifford Foster, 61, of Bridgend, has been charged with murdering much-loved mother Eleanor Barnfield, 47, from Bridgend, in an incident at a retirement flats complex in the Coity Road area of the town on Monday.
He is due to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

“She was our rock.ā
Chief executive of Valleys to Coast Joanne Oak said: “We are devastated by the tragic death of our colleague Eleanor Barnfield.”
