18 road closures on M4 and major Welsh roads to cause summer holiday getaway misery this week

There are road works scheduled throughout Wales

There’s disruption ahead for drivers travelling on main roads across Wales from Sunday as maintenance work is carried out. It will affect people who use A-roads including the A470 near and in Pontypridd and the A465 in Neath. However many more routes will see disruption, including part of the M4.

• M4 J25A Grove Park, eastbound: Bridge closed for maintenance work from July 20 to July 27 from 8pm to 6am. Diversion in place
• A470 Upper Boat to Nantgarw, southbound: Road closed for carriageway maintenance from July 19 to July 20 from 8pm to 6am. Diversion in place.
• A470 Upper Boat to Pontypridd, northbound: Road closed for carriageway maintenance from July 19 to July 20 from 8pm to 6am. Diversion in place.
• A470 Pontypridd to Upper Boat, southbound: Road closed for carriageway maintenance from July 19 to July 20 from 8pm to 6am. Diversion in place.
• A465 Resolven to Aberdulais, northbound: Road closed for resurfacing work from July 13 to August 12 from 8pm to 6am. Diversion in Place.
• A4042 Southern End to A4051 interchange, northbound. Road closed for maintenance work from July 20 to July 21. Diversion in place.
