An annual concert, hosted by Barry Male Voice Choir at Penarth Methodist Church and featuring special guests Lisburn Community Choir, drew a full house for an evening of music that spanned classical works and contemporary favourites.
A packed programme moved seamlessly between grand choral pieces and popular melodies.
Dot Connell, musical director of Barry Male Voice Choir, said: “We had a wonderful evening with our friends from Lisburn with guest soloists and instrumentalists and it was great to receive so much positive feedback from the audience at the end.
“We look forward to performing with the Lisburn Community Choir in the future.”
The partnership between the two choirs created a rich tapestry of sound, with the Barry choir’s deep, resonant male voice tradition providing a counterpoint to the Lisburn Mixed Community Choir’s dynamic range.
Audience members filled every corner of the historic church.
Guest soloists and instrumentalists also performed at the concert.
