Michael Bisgrove, 38, of Woodlands Road, changed his pleas to guilty during a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on July 22.
The court heard that Bisgrove drove a vehicle dangerously on Gladstone Road on November 22, 2025.
He also admitted driving the same vehicle on Paget Road while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.
The guilty pleas were entered before Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke after the case had previously been listed for trial.
Bisgrove was granted conditional bail ahead of sentencing but was made subject to an interim driving disqualification.
The court ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report with all sentencing options remaining open.
Two charges alleging assault by beating were discontinued by the prosecution.
A further allegation that Bisgrove failed to report a road traffic collision on Gladstone Road, in which damage was caused to another vehicle, was also discontinued.
Cardiff Crown Court heard that Bisgrove must continue to reside at his home address in Barry as part of his bail conditions.
He is due to return to Cardiff Crown Court on September 1 for sentencing.
The hearing is scheduled is expected to last 45 minutes.
The court will determine sentence after considering the pre-sentence report and the circumstances surrounding the dangerous driving and disqualified driving offences committed on November 22, 2025.
