Rebecca Williams, 34, of Ash Grove, Barry appeared before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court after admitting breaching a domestic violence protection order.
The court heard that on September 8, she breached an order made by Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on August 21.
The order prohibited her from contacting a man directly, indirectly or by any other means.
Williams admitted the breach when she appeared before the court.
Magistrates fined her £50 and ordered her to pay a further £50 in costs, bringing the total financial penalty to £100.
A collection order was made and the court directed that deductions could be made from benefits.
The defendant was ordered to pay the amount at a rate of £20 per month, with payments due to commence on October 6.
