River and Ripple, a bonded pair, are being cared for at All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary after being surrendered by their previous owners, who could no longer keep them after moving to a smaller home.
Though inseparable, the two bunnies have distinct personalities.
River is the quieter of the two, preferring affection on her own terms and tending to be more reserved.
Ripple, meanwhile, is much more sociable and happy to approach people.
Both rabbits have been fully vaccinated, spayed, and given a clean bill of health, though River was notably less enthusiastic about having her teeth checked.
The sanctuary advises that they not be given towels or blankets as bedding or inside pet carriers, as they have a habit of trying to eat them.
It is working to find the pair a suitable home where they can stay together.
River and Ripple could potentially live with children, as they have previously lived in a home with children aged four and six.
However, supervision is advised, particularly because River can sometimes be “a bit nippy & grumpy at times.”
Their next vaccinations are not due until April 27, 2027.
