Police have named the victim of a fatal collision in Carmartheshire as Ashley Wayne Keane

The family of a man who died in a crash between a bus and a van have paid a heartfelt tribute to him.

Ashley Wayne Keane, 38, died in a crash on the A40 in Carmarthenshire between Llandeilo and Nantgaredig at around 4.25pm on Friday, July 3.

In an emotional statement issued through police on July 10 his family said: “We are utterly heartbroken by the sudden and tragic loss of Ashley Wayne Keane.

“He will forever be in our hearts and, as his family, kindly ask for privacy to grieve this devastating loss.”

The tribute comes after Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed one man had died and two people were taken to hospital following the serious collision involving a bus and a van.

Emergency services, including the Wales Air Ambulance, were called to the A40 near Llandeilo at around 4.30pm on July 3.
