A 30-year-old father has died following a crash that happened on his way to work. The incident happened at around 7am on Saturday, July 11 at Blaenplwyf near Aberystwyth.
The single-vehicle crash involved a blue Suzuki motorcycle. Dyfed-Powys Police previously said the rider of the motorcycle had been airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The family of Mr Sims, known as Matt, from Lampeter, have paid tribute to him in a statement released through Dyfed-Powys Police.
It reads: “Matt passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, following a motorcycle accident on the Aberystwyth road on his way to work on the morning of Saturday, July 11, 2026. No other vehicles were involved.
“He was a loving father to his daughters Emma and Beca and partner to Katie. He had a wide circle of family and friends and will be sadly missed by so many people. Rest in peace Matt.”
