Man jailed for making threats in Penarth with kitchen knife

Lewis Jones, 35, of no fixed abode, was accused of making the threat in Penarth on May 25.

It was alleged that Jones threatened another man with a kitchen knife on Stanwell Crescent.

He admitted an offence of threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place.

At Newport Crown Court, Jones was sentenced to a total of 62 weeks imprisonment.

Judge Lucy Crowther made a forfeiture and destruction order for the kitchen knife.

Binita Tamang appeared for the prosecution, whilst Harry Baker represented the defendant.
