Police and paramedics were called to Powys on Sunday afternoon
A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a serious crash which resulted in a main road being shut for 18 hours.
Police were called to a section of the A44 near Rhayader in Powys on Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision involving a motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.
Emergency services have not confirmed the extent or severity of those injuries.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a motorbike on the A44 between Nantmel and Crossgates at around 1.40pm on Sunday, July 12.
“One person was taken to hospital for further medical attention.
“The road remained closed while the vehicles were recovered and debris cleared and re-opened at 7.35am on Monday, July 13.”
