The music legend, who has appeared as an on-off coach since its premiere in 2012, issued a statement following reports that he would not return for the 2027 series.
ITV has said that bosses are hopeful the star would return.
However, reports suggest that it would be in a smaller role, which Sir Tom has now confirmed in a scathing statement on the situation.

He said: “To be clear, I did not want to leave The Voice as I love the show and really appreciate the audience.
“ITV made this decision — obviously a while ago, and I was told just recently.
“The reason given is because of a financial difficulty with insurance.
“They now say in the press they wanted to ‘refresh’ the show, and with a new coaching line-up there wouldn’t be a chair for me.
“They are offering a much-reduced role where I would make an appearance but without being actually involved from the start, and I’m not thrilled about that.
“So the only thing I know right now, is that there’s never a good time to fire an 86-year-old who’s still pretty good at his job.”
The Welsh singer, best known for hits like It’s Not Unusual and Delilah, has mentored three winners during his time on the show: Leanne Mitchell (series one), Ruti Olajugbagbe (series seven), and Anthonia Edwards (series 11).
Throughout his more than 60-year career, Sir Tom has earned three UK number one singles and four chart-topping albums.
He has also received a Grammy, two Brit Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award, and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 for his services to music.

An ITV source said previously: “ITV absolutely loves working with Sir Tom.
“They are in talks with him and are hopeful he will return to the series.”
Sir Tom has coached alongside a variety of stars over the years, including Jessie J, Olly Murs, Kylie Minogue, and Rita Ora.
