A stolen car was found on its roof after being involved in a crash which left a road shut for hours, police have said.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it received a report at 7.25pm on Tuesday that a white Ford Focus had been taken without the owner’s consent in the Broad Haven area of Pembrokeshire. Shortly after, at 7.40pm, the car was located having “rolled onto its roof” just before Portfield Gate near Haverfordwest.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The B4341 was closed in both directions until Wednesday morning to allow for collision investigation work to take place.
The driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, dangerous driving, and drink- and drug-driving. He was taken to hospital to be checked over before being taken to custody where he remains.
