Young Archaeologists – Day of Discovery

Penarth Library invites young explorers to dig into the past with their Young Archaeologists – Day of Discovery. Children can ‘excavate hidden artefacts, investigate ancient mysteries and enjoy a variety of fun, hands-on activities inspired by the past.’ Each participant receives a special certificate and badge. The event is aimed at ages 5 to 8 and booking is essential. Bring your own lunch or snack for the midday break. The event takes place on July 25, 10.30am to 2pm.

Repair Cafe

The Repair Cafe at St Augustine’s Parish Church Hall offers the chance to give damaged belongings a new lease of life. Volunteers are on hand to carry out repairs, although the specific types available may differ each time. Entry is free, but donations to support the café are welcomed. Refreshments will be available. The event takes place on July 26, 2pm to 5pm.
