The 15.6” size is priced at £215.20, down from £269, but it also comes in other sizes: 14.1” (£239), 15.6” (£235), 15.6” cabin (£245) and 17.3” (£279) as well as five different colours: dusty blue, black (£269), blue (£269), green (£269) and grey (£269).

Measuring 43 x 30 x 15cm, it expands to 21cm deep when buyers need extra packing space, increasing capacity from 21 to 26 litres. Despite its generous storage, the backpack weighs just 1.3kg, making it easy to carry throughout the day.

Another classic option is the Icon Backpack for £140 from Antler. Available in black and khaki green, this durable backpack has plenty of pockets for organisation and a durable finish.
The Samsonite Pro-DLX 6 backpack has been praised by customers, with a 4.6 out of 5-star rating on the website and 96% of reviewers recommending it. One review, which has been translated from German, said: “Worth every euro. Extremely lightweight and made of high-quality material. The compartment layout is very well thought-out, and the laptop protection couldn’t be better.”
Another added: “Very satisfied with the backpack.” A third person wrote: “I bought it for my husband’s birthday and he loves it.”
Some removed a star, with one saying in a longer review: “If I have a complaint, it is that they do not include a dust bag, which would make it easier to store.” Another said: “Many things I really love about this bag, quality and finish are excellent, structure is very solid and comfortable to carry, and it looks good too.
“Possible miscalculation on my part is that my laptop fits really well, as does my tablet, but the USB keyboard I use is too tall for the bag, so I have to carry it separately. Overall, really nice product, good quality, but it is expensive compared with the competition.”
