Outbuilding demolition
An application has been made to demolish an existing outbuilding, utility room, and garage at 25 Sullivan Close in Penarth.
The plans include the construction of a single-storey rear and side extension, as well as changes to the windows and doors.
The new extension would be built on the existing patio area, with a small section of lawn removed to accommodate an extended patio.
Existing trees and hedge boundaries would remain unchanged, and no external lighting is proposed.
To support local wildlife, the applicant also plans to plant pollinator-friendly species such as honeysuckle and lavender along the right-hand fence line of the garden.
A new hedge would be established at the rear of the garden, along with the installation of a bird box on the rear elevation of the extension.
Rear extension
An application has been submitted for a single-storey rear extension at 30 Byrd Crescent in Penarth.
The extension would enlarge the existing kitchen to create an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining space.
The plans feature a flat roof with a skylight and include a new sliding door and window to improve natural light and access.
