South Wales Police confirmed a 22-year-old man from Llangan has been arrested on suspicion of affray following the incident on Broad Street, Barry, on Sunday, July 26.
He, along with another man who was arrested last week, remains on police bail pending further enquiries.
The disturbance broke out outside the Far East Chinese Takeaway on Broad Street, with footage appearing to show a large crowd gathered as several men became involved in a fight.
Videos shared on social media appeared to show people spilling out into the street, with some members of the crowd seen standing on parked cars as the disturbance unfolded.
The footage appeared to show a number of men involved in the altercation, with some people knocked to the ground as the incident continued.
South Wales Police said officers were called to Broad Street at around 1.30am following reports of an ongoing disturbance.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to Broad Street, Barry, following a report of an ongoing disturbance at around 1.30am on Sunday, July 26.
“Upon attendance, the group involved had left the area.
“Officers remained in the area as reassurance and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have seen what happened.
