View 62 sits on Friars Road, overlooking the promenade, but found itself fall victim to an attack from a hooded and masked individual on Tuesday, April 21.
A video posted by the bar on social media shows CCTV footage of the individual walking up to the premises at 10pm and repeatedly striking the windows with an object in their hand, smashing the glass.
View 62 said in the post accompanying the footage that this is the “third attack in the last few months by the same person who has zero respect for local businesses.”
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “The criminal damage has been reported to police but unfortunately it has not yet been possible to identify the person responsible.
“Being a victim of this kind of crime is upsetting, costly and an inconvenience, especially when you are a repeat victim. A crime reduction officer will be working with the premises to help prevent further incidents.”
View 62 went on to reassure customers, saying that they won’t let this incident get them down and will remain in “high spirits”, aiming to share the “summer vibes” with their customers.
They reportedly have some “amazing things” planned for the summer months, when the Island will become a hotbed of activity.
